Poverty in India
India is the great and we love our country,we love all peoples in our country. but it very unfortunate and very shame to us that many peoples in India are below proverty level .they are living with very difficulty and suffering so many problems to their daily living life like food,health, sanitation , education ,hygine and inadequate accomodation e,t,c. my question is why ? In india there are sufficient food ,wealth and human resource present . definitely poverty in india is due to lack of attention about it. who are responsible for it? how can we remove this ? here we see the situation .
Govt study fixes poverty line at Rs 66 for cities and Rs 35 for villages
Here is a new set of official statistics that can escalate the politically contentious debate on what constitutes the poverty line.
If the average monthly consumption expenditure is taken as the benchmark of what an individual needs to survive, the poverty line would be Rs 66.10 for urban areas and Rs 35.10 for rural regions, while about 65% of the population will be below this cutoff.
